London is a world-class city that’s home to 8.6 million people and visited every year by 19 million more. Keeping it working, moving, and growing is a huge challenge, but one that TfL rises to every day. Data is at the heart of making the decisions that make this happen and we are looking for an experienced analyst to help us make the road network effective for all its users.

Lead the team who shape decision making

The wider analysis unit uses complex data analysis to inform our operational decisions. To do this they manage their own cloud infrastructure and have developed innovative tools such as a “digital twin” that mirrors the London road network. You will be part of a unit that is at the heart of innovating new ways of providing insights from data. Your challenge will be to lead the team within the unit that develops new tools and processes that can deliver performance metrics and business cases and you will need to be able to showcase your results to a range of technical and non-technical audiences.

Make the most of your experience to date

To succeed, you’ll need to demonstrate that you can lead a team of data analysts, allocate their tasks, and manage the delivery of solutions to a portfolio of analytical tasks, by interrogating large complex data sets. You’re used to solving problems using a data-driven approach, and you’ll be able to write clear, accurate reports about your work. You’ll also need skills in R, Python or SQL, along with advanced analytical techniques and experience in a range of data analysis tools and methodologies.
