Job Details

The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC)* has been exclusively mandated by our client, a global online entertainment platform, in their search for an Operational Global Payments Auditor to be based in their London offices.

The Operational Global Payments Auditor will be responsible for planning & executing a mix of financial regulatory, operational, and compliance audits, also taking responsibility for delivering the full portfolio of payment services related audits (For example, Payments to payments, trust and safety, moderation, customer security)

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the annual Global Payments audit plan ensuring alignment to the key risks and regulatory requirements
  • Provide input and assist in the identification of relevant risks and regulatory requirements for incorporation as part of our audit scope and work programs.
  • Execute a portfolio of regulatory (AML/ CFT, Payment Services Directive 2, Safeguarding, etc.) and operational audits
  • Use data as part of our core audit processes (risk assessment, planning, audit execution, and continuous monitoring)
  • Develop robust risk and control matrices and internal audit test plans; - Formulate well-written, concise and clear audit reports
  • Perform regular, periodic follow-ups on audit recommendations to evaluate the adequacy of corrective actions
  • Maintain a solid understanding of emerging financial regulatory risks, statutory changes and industry trends.

Background Requirements

  • Significant internal audit experience (4+ years), including experience in an audit related role within a UK regulated financial services environment
  • Big 4 backgrounds with internal audit/risk assurance experience will also be strongly considered (with payments related clients)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to review compliance with related regulatory, operational, and financial controls
  • Good knowledge of IIA standards
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident presenting audit findings and corrective actions to senior stakeholders
  • Desire and drive to learn, grow and have impact quickly as part of an expanding team.
  • Qualifications: ACCA, ACA, CIA, IIA, IRM, CIMA, CISA, CPA, CFA or equivalent.
