The Continuous Improvement and Quality Lead is responsible for the start-up and development of a CI and Quality function which will underpin the operations of UK and the Centre of Excellence.

Description

The Continuous Improvement and Quality Lead will be responsible for and expected to have;

  • Knowledge and understanding of the operational risks, concerns and commitments of the functional pillar leads/Senior Leadership Team members
  • Any relevant reporting being generated by the GSS Reporting Lead in respect of operations within scope
  • Control issues and persistent operating problems which have been escalated through the Failsafe process
  • Identifying process and control issues within operations, and working collaboratively to design, pilot and track corrective changes to process and control before handing off to the delivery leadership as a formal BAU change
  • Identification of areas of process inefficiency, control weakness and process waste in conjunction with Delivery Tower leads and functional delivery teams
  • Design, development, piloting and productionisation of CI solutions using established CI tools and techniques
  • Reporting, trend analysis and commentary to demonstrate value add from the CI and quality initiatives

Profile

The successful Continuous Improvement and Quality Lead should have;

Qualifications:

 

  • Ideally: University Degree
  • Ideally: Qualified Accounting Qualification: ACCA, ACA, CIMA or similar
  • More important than the financial qualification is a demonstrable track record of improving processes and control and have a detailed understanding of controls, efficiency and process

Experiences:

 

  • Extensive experience in a CI, Quality or similar role
  • Excellent working knowledge of processes within Payables, Receivables and General Ledger
  • Experience/knowledge of Navision is preferable
  • Experience in a similar role within a multi-site business is desirable
  • Prior experience of working with an outsourced Finance Shared Service Centre is preferable but not mandatory
