ESG Assistant Manager

This FTSE 100 company is at the centre of the energy transition and is leading the way globally in terms of ESG thinking and reporting.

This new role has a broad and strategic mandate and is a pivotal part of the ESG journey. Partnering with many teams across the business, you’ll play a key role in the development of ESG reporting, while providing strategic advice and challenge to actively drive change in this sustainability committed organisation.

You’ll have experience in ESG or sustainability reporting, assurance, risk and controls, data governance or other relevant sustainability-related fields. You will also be passionate about sustainability and have good knowledge of the transition to net zero. A Big 4 background will be highly regarded but is not essential. With your expertise in internal control frameworks and reporting, plus strong business partnering, stakeholder engagement and project management skills, you will be one of the key influencers in the ESG Centre of Excellence team.

This role would be an ideal fit for a qualified accountant with some exposure to ESG reporting, assurance or advisory looking to transition in to an ESG focused commercial role.
