AUDITOR – DEVELOPMENT ROLE

£24,496 - £26,845

With potential to rise ultimately up to £36,298 subject to satisfactory performance and passing exams

Fancy a career in internal audit, risk management and insurance?

We are looking for a motivated individual to join Rugby Borough Councils Internal Audit Team as an Auditor or Trainee Auditor (career grade). You will be based at the Town Hall in Rugby with hybrid working options, including some working from home.

This Auditor post is a development role and will provide you with the opportunity to develop internal audit skills and practice, thus enabling you to progress to become a fully skilled Auditor.

Where necessary, we will provide you with the training required for you to become an Auditor.

The Audit Team is responsible for providing independent and objective assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk, and controls. It reports its findings to management and the Audit Committee to promote and facilitate continuous improvement. In doing so, it may consider assurance from other internal and external providers.

You will be required to carry out audits and provide high quality advice and guidance to management on issues relating to internal control, risk management, financial reporting and the prevention of fraud and corruption.

You will also assist in managing the Council’s insurance portfolio, claims handling and risks.
