As a Global Treasury Risk Manager, you will be part of the larger Treasury team managing the multi-billion-dollar Foreign Exchange and Commodities exposures for the company. You will be involved in building the strategy for COGS hedging, modelling exposures, setting and executing trading mandates, and presenting market views to the C-Suite and Board of Directors.

The role:
  • Monitor company exposures, explore novel hedge strategies and model future or previously underappreciated risks, as well as develop and implement novel hedge strategies examining financial instruments and improving executional efficiency.
  • Recommend trading mandates concerning operational exposures, dividend hedging, and M&A activities and execute upon those mandates.
  • Inform C-Suite quarterly of market developments and the Board of Directors on a bi-annual basis.
  • Collaborate with the Tax and Control teams to ensure operational efficiency regarding hedging instruments.
  • Cultivate and maintain banking relationships driving value from operational excellence and continued maintenance of appropriately sized trading lines
  • Participate in Risk Monitoring and building of ever-improving risk systems and limits


Who we are looking for:
  • Must be based in Belgium and be fluent in English.
  • University degree in finance, math, or equivalent field.
  • 6+ years in financial markets preferably as a Risk Manager or Trader.
  • Good knowledge of financial markets and financial instruments.
  • Prior participation in risk management with a professional understanding of VaR, wrong-way risk, etc.
  • Proficient at trading and modelling systems such as Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.
  • Experience with financial systems such as SAP, experience with Cognos and/or IT2 being a plus.
  • Natural collaborator and team player with strong stakeholder management, strong presentation skills and ability to communicate & summarize complex financial information.
  • Willingness & proven ability to transform and challenge the status quo.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible to travel to Belgium and Luxembourg on an ad-hoc basis.
