Head of Corporate Governance
Barclay Simpson have been exclusively engaged by a multi-billion turnover, privately owned, very well known business to recruit a newly created position of Head of Corporate Governance. This role will be based almost entirely from home so you can be based anywhere in the United Kingdom.
You will be responsible for all Corporate Governance activities across the global business and their large charity. Having created their own bespoke Corporate Governance Code, as an alternative to the Wates Principles, you will be tasked with ensuring the code is embraced by all areas of the business and to ensure that the code evolves as the business continues to expand into new countries taking local regulatory requirements into account. You will also be responsible for other general Governance activities (e.g. Board procedures, Modern Slavery, Women in Business etc) as well as Tax Governance.
You will either come from a Corporate Governance background (either from Big 4 or industry), or have an Internal Audit, Legal or Tax Governance background with an active interest and enthusiasm for moving into a Corporate Governance role. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with C-Suite level stakeholders in a commercial environment.
You will be offered a negotiable salary + bonus (20%) + excellent car scheme + pension (10% matched).
