We are currently embarking on an exciting recruitment drive to bring on board talented Regulatory Finance Managers. These are fantastic opportunities to join a team that is heavily involved with regulatory matters and to ensure that Thames provides the required level of information to the regulators for future investment. As a Regulatory Finance Manager, you will provide cross-functional strategic oversight across the regulatory programme along with other key business drivers. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the regulatory requirements are integrated fully within the PR24 programme and those that are requested from the Executive, Board and Shareholders. As a member of the wider Strategy and External Affairs team, you will be expected to develop and maintain proactive, transparent and positive relationships with key regulation and other stakeholder contacts, in addition to the following - Management of a variety of projects ensuring the output is timely and of high quality, consistent with our internal and external standards. Ensure that all projects are delivered to time, quality, and cost constraints. Work with the business to ensure a full understanding of regulatory requirements and translate these into key deliverables required from Thames Water as part of the business planning process. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across Thames Water ensuring that all financial teams fully understand all regulatory requirements for their area, working in a truly collaborative way. Work with the functional areas to deliver high-quality, impactful and on-time formal and informal regulatory submissions Support the functional areas in the requirement for external advice and support both in terms of the development of key deliverables and also technical assurance. Consolidate feedback from the functional areas on items relating to the impact of the regulatory financial impact on Thames Water, ensuring that these risks and opportunities are captured and articulated through the agreed governance process. What you will bring to the role? Previous experience in utility regulation, obtained in the water industry or a similar asset management industry, including an understanding of the delivery of the business plan and price review process within a regulated industry Highly effective communication skills to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders, manage others and gain cooperation, where necessary, to deliver strategic commercial and regulatory outcomes. High levels of influencing and collaborative skills in working with a wide variety of personnel from different backgrounds and with diverse roles within the business, including at senior levels. Able to demonstrate that you can deliver on time within tight deadlines and to budget, and work within corporate governance procedures Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. Expertise in some or all Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint Experience with analytics and the ability to consolidate information to form a cohesive report. In-depth understanding of regulation within a regulated industry. Previous experience in developing and presenting complex regulatory matters to Board level audiences and being able to defend key decisions when challenged What's in it for you?
