As our newest Data Engineer you'll help us deliver proactive, innovative and insightful data products. DWP Data Engineers work closely with stakeholders to development and maintain modern robust data pipelines, products and services. You'll review and transform business requirements into reusable production ready code. You'll integrate a variety of source data, using your judgement and guidance to determine the appropriate approach. You'll conduct proof of concept and discovery, and provide expert advice and recommendations. You'll play an active role in code development activities for delivery of data transformation products. You'll develop automated data ingest routines, workflows, and mappings for structured and unstructured data. You'll also have access to whatever learning you need to grow your skills and career, supported by the team and by our expert data community. What skills, knowledge and experience will you need? Experience in building and deploying efficient, scalable, automated ETL/ELT pipelines An understanding of designing and developing data products and services on public cloud - AWS/Azure/GCP Experience of one or more Programming Languages - SQL/Python etc Knowledge of data modelling and database design concepts to enable performant loading and querying of data to support different access pattern Knowledge of distributed version control tools, and awareness of modern code deployment methods (CI/CD) Experience of working in an agile environmentDetails.
