The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company are recruiting for an Internal Audit Manager role for a construction client, who are a well-known, household name. This is an exciting, newly created role within a growing internal audit function, and gives the right candidate the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership teams.

Your responsibilities:

  • Evaluate key risks, identify gaps and review the effectiveness of current control measures.
  • Provide advice and assurance to the business in the form of advisory reports Oversee planning of the various internal audits is key – from drafting plans to fieldwork to report writing.
  • Supporting the delivery of the internal audit plan to the agreed timetable, which will involve managing the work of junior auditors in the team.
  • Work in line with best practice as laid out internally but also by accountancy and IIA standards.

Experience requirement:

  • ACA / ACCA / IIA qualification with 3+ years of Internal Audit experience.
  • Strong Internal Audit experience, both financial and operational.
  • Proven people management experience, 1+ year.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and confident to make informed decisions that could impact the business.  
  • Pragmatic problem solver and the ability to build relationships at all levels of business.

Salary / Benefits

  • Up to £63,000 DOE
