The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company are seeking a Risk Officer to join one of Scotland’s largest charities. This is a key role in a tight-knit function, providing significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence change within the organisation.

The Risk Officer is responsible for strengthening risk management controls across the business and will assess the effectiveness of the current controls in place. With a heavy focus on the operational side of the business, this role will involve a small amount of regional travel and strong stakeholder management.

Key requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of risk management or assurance.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable experience:

  • Qualification in Risk Management (IRM or similar).
  • Understanding of the differences and challenges of working in a social care and not for profit environment.

Salary / Benefits

  • Up to £36,000 DOE
