Job Duties:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Shared Internal Audit Service, with our vision to provide leading-edge internal audit work to our eight local authority partners and other clients.
Occupying a key role within our shared service you will deliver a wide range of high profile, cross-cutting internal audit and assurance activities. This will include taking responsibility for all stages of the end-to-end audit process from planning through to reporting. As an experienced member of our service, you will also have the opportunity to develop and apply your experience of supporting our trainees and auditors.
The role provides an excellent opportunity to test and develop your skills through working with Senior Managers across a range of partners. For the successful candidate this should be seen as an opportunity to take your career to the next level.
We have fully adopted a hybrid working model. Your week can be balanced between flexible remote working, collaborating in the office with the wider SIAS team and being at our partner sites. Some countywide travel will therefore be necessary.
Given the nature of this role, we are looking for qualified or part qualified CCAB or IIA candidates (Salary range £43,516 progressing to a maximum of £48,587 per annum). We are also interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate considerable relevant experience (Salary range £38,296 progressing to a maximum of £42,503 per annum).
The Senior Auditor role is key to achieving our objectives; attention to detail will need to be balanced with strategic thinking. Candidates also need good communication and time management skills, both of which are key to success. We want candidates who also want to be part of a supportive team, enjoy working with others and are looking for a challenge.
We are under no illusion that if you are reading this advert, then you have probably seen a number of other similar opportunities that you may also interest you. However, if you want to be part of a great team, have a clear path to progressing your career, have access to excellent employee benefits and achieve a work life-balance, you need look no further. We would love to receive your application and have the opportunity to discuss what we can offer you.
