Senior Internal Audit Manager

The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC)* are recruiting for a Senior Internal Audit Manager for a large retail based Financial Services business. This is a great opportunity to work within a friendly and collegiate team, and to manage and deliver through senior stakeholder relationships.

This role can be based in London or Bradford with a requirement to be in the office 1 day a week.

Experience working closely with up to date PRA regulations within lending, credit or treasury and finance based audits is required.

Role Activities

• Assessing effectiveness of internal controls and risk management activity
• Owning the third line of defense review of the groupwide ICAAP, ILAAP, RRP documentation, from an internal audit activity perspective
• Line Management responsibility for 2 Internal Audit Managers 
• Be the SME for Finance, Credit and Treasury Risk 
• Being a 3LOD key point of contact for PRA and FCA in all matters relating to finance, prudential and credit activities.
• Managing stakeholder relationships and deputizing for the Head of Audit

Required Experience

• Significant Internal Audit within a UK regulated environment
• Extensive knowledge and experience of Finance and Credit related risks and associated PRA regulations within the Banking industry
• Strong understanding of the Basel III reforms and liquidity frameworks, including CRD V and CRR II
• Strong understanding of key model risk management principles
• Excellent relationship management and influencing skills with the ability to balance assertiveness with need to build and maintain internal relationships
• Ability to lead and work within a close nit team

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• A recognized financial (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or auditing (MIIA, PIIA, CIA) professional qualification.
