Key statistics: 1100+ Team members 900+ Consultants 550+ Ph.D.'s 30+ Offices globally We are currently seeking a Regulatory Managing Scientist for a Manager level position on our Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice in Washington, DC. In this role you will work as part of a team providing a high level of project management, Federal and State regulatory and technical expertise, and project support to the consultants in the Center for Chemical Regulation and Food Safety. Your responsibilities will include: Providing Federal and State pesticide strategy and regulatory support Interacting directly with clients and regulators Managing and tracking client projects, project deliverables, and budgets Knowledge and understanding of the US EPA FIFRA/FFDCA regulation of chemicals and pesticides Providing regulatory and technical review and quality control support for Federal and State pesticide related projects Synthesizing technical and regulatory information Participating in developing business and clients Drafting, editing and proofreading complex regulatory and technical reports You will have the following background and qualifications: Advanced degree in a Science related field Five (5) or more years of EPA pesticide regulatory experience such as Federal, State, or other authorities Consulting experience preferred (but not required) Solid understanding of Federal and State FIFRA guidelines and regulations Excellent communication, writing, editing and proofreading skills Must be detail oriented, able to work independently, and manage time effectively Strong ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment Experience with project management, budget tracking, and invoicing a plus Exposure to sensitive information will necessitate considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment Entrepreneurial spirit is a plus Please visit the following link to learn how Exponent and our staff are making an impact: We value and encourage diversity, equity and inclusion across all facets of our firm.
