Senior Internal Auditor - FTSE

A FTSE listed Financial Services group are in the midst of a significant transformation, and looking to expand their team through the addition of a Senior Internal Auditor. You will be joining a well-established function in a highly prestigious organisation, acting as an excellent opportunity for career development be it through industry exposure or internal opportunities. The priority for this hire will be to take ownership of risk-based, end to end Audit processes, playing an integral role in steering the direction of strategic business objectives.

Main responsibilities:

• Take ownership of Audit engagements from planning to reporting, in line with the Group Internal Audit Plan and maintaining deadlines and quality throughout
• Assisting with the development of the Group’s Internal Control Framework with an aim towards efficiency and effectiveness
• Liaise with Senior Management, initiating challenging discussions whilst maintaining positive stakeholder relationships
• Through the establishment and maintenance of these relationships, seek to embed Internal Audit Principles across all levels of the Group

Experience:

• Professionally qualified by relevant body (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CISA etc.)
• Demonstrable experience leading end to end Audit engagements within regulatory Financial Services environments
• Exemplary relationship building and maintenance skills, able to ask the difficult questions effectively
• High degree of IT literacy
