Senior Internal Auditor – London
A leading and very well known Investment Banking organisation are currently searching for talented individuals to join their growing Global Markets Audit Division based in London !
This opportunity will give you exposure to a range of different areas within the Investment Banking space - which will offer you great CV value in a short space of time! You will also have the option to decide your own career path and pursue areas that you are interested in!
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- As an Auditor in the Global Markets team, you will bring a systematic approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the Audit Department
- You will participate in audit assignments interacting with senior management (for instance Global Markets Global Business Line Heads or UK senior management), provide conclusions and recommendations, and contribute to comprehensive and value-adding audit reports.
- Learn and devlop knowledge Capital Markets activities (Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office) – including strong knowledge in vanilla and structured financial instruments (FX, Rates, Equity, Credit), products lifecycle (Pre-Trade, Trade, Post Trade), Risk Management; and o Asset and Liability Management and Treasury.
Ideally, you will have the following skills set:
- A minimum of 2 years of Internal or External Audit experience from a financial services firm, or Big 4 firm.
- An understanding of some Investment Banking Audit topics - with the motivation to lean and devlop.
- Experience in auditing regulated firms and general knowledge of and experience within financial services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with senior management and stakeholders.
Preferred (but not essential) competencies:
- Academic background such as a Masters level qualification in Financial Mathematics or similar subject area.
- Good knowledge of Data Analytics, C++, Python and VBA.
