Internal Audit Manager - Financial Services

My client are a global insurance house, based in London, who are seeking to appoint an experienced Internal Audit manager.

This person will take direct responsibility for a team of 3 within the wider internal audit team and be a key member of the senior leadership team within the internal audit division.

Responsibilities include:

• Acting as an engagement manager in the delivery of full and detailed end to end internal audits across the business in line with the annual internal audit plan. You will manage and oversee a number of audits at the same time whilst managing more junior members of the team.
• Managing, developing and taking responsibility for significant and key stakeholder relationships across the business.
• Deputising for the Head of Audit at meetings and forums when necessary.
• Leading, motivating and managing a team of 3 internal auditors as well as coaching and mentoring others across the wider internal audit team. Previous team leadership is essential for this role and must be easily visible on your CV.
• You will be keen to make an input to the overall internal audit strategy.

Experience:

This person will be an insurance specialist and must have experience of either corporate, life, or general insurance as a minimum in order to be able to liaise confidently with Senior Stakeholders. Experience of Lloyds of London is considered highly advantageous.

You will be either ACA, ACCA, CIA qualified or have an insurance qualification.

Strong communication skills are essential as is the ability to influence at the highest levels.

My client works in a hybrid manner and offers 3 days at home and 2 in the office which is based in the City of London.

£85-95k base (depending on experience) + car allowance + benefits + strong bonus potential.
