Senior Internal Auditor - Model Risk
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: up to £55K, plus benefits & bonus

My leading banking client is currently looking for an Model Risk Auditor to join their growing team based in Edinburgh

As a Model Risk Auditor your responsibilities will be:

• Contributing to large or complex audits maintaining good quality, time, and budget standards.
• Contributing to the strategic thinking and direction of the audit team and play an important role in shaping parts of the annual audit plan.
• To continue to learn and develop within this space

Ideally, as a Model Risk Auditor, you will have the following experience:

• A strong quantitative background with a good understanding of the key risks and controls throughout across all aspects of model lifecycle. This includes: quality of the underlying data; models methodology, performance and limitations; model automation and model use.
• Sound and practical understanding of regulatory requirements for IRB, IFRS9, forecasting and stress testing models
• Prior experience of leading assurance work within Audit / Risk Oversight functions is desirable.
• A collaborative team player with a growth mindset and an appetite to learn and develop.
