Senior Internal Audit Manager

Our client is a highly acquisitive Fortune 500 manufacturing, distribution and retail business, with operations in Europe, North America and Asia. The group employs around 50,000 people and has an annual turnover of circa £10bn. The company approached us with their ambitious growth plans for the audit team globally, and our most recent project is to find a Senior Internal Audit Manager who will directly line-manage a team of 3-5 Internal Auditors and Senior Internal Auditors. This role is remote and can be based anywhere in the UK.
  
Reporting directly to the Director of Internal Audit, the Senior Internal Audit Manager holds the accountability of managing the team who will plan, report and deliver end-to-end financial, operational and SOX audits and advisory projects, as part of the annual audit plan. By communicating with all levels of senior management, you will make a significant contribution to the businesses’ assessment of risk and have unrivalled exposure to the business. The amount of travel is expected to be c. 35% (post COVID), mostly to other locations in Europe.
  
We are looking for a driven, ambitious Top 10 or Big 4 trained accountant/auditor, with project and people management experience, looking for their next challenge in industry. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, the gravitas to inspire and mentor people as well as the willingness to occasionally ‘get your hands dirty’ too.
