The Programme Manager will shape, lead and empower their delivery team to ensure the fundamentals of Project Management excellence are achieved, this includes analysis, governance, planning managing finances and delivering value. Here’s where you’ll make a difference:

Data - the Crown Jewels of the bank, key to the Group’s strategy and at the centre of the Group’s investment programme.

The Programme Manager is accountable for leading a large scale programme of work which is centred around our Group Data Warehouse It provides analytical and operational reporting, supports critical business processes and provides mastering for customer marketing data purposes.

The programme of work has a clear roadmap that is focused on:
  • Modernisation: software and infrastructure currency uplift as well as modernizing the warehouse and removing or mitigating as many risks as we can
  • Security: review of our latest security policies and patterns to ensure the warehouse is secured for the future
  • Data workload placement: reviewing the warehouse in line with our Group Data Strategy to look at simplifying and offloading workloads that belong on other strategic data architectures such as our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) hosted data and analytics platform. This will likely involve migrating large volumes of data - this might include data transformation, as well as unravelling the historic consumption patterns so they can be enabled efficiently on target.


Day to day this involves:
  • Leading a team of 50+ colleagues in the UK and India to deliver the programme outcomes in a well-articulated and managed plan
  • Ensuring regular communications broadcasts and interlock on our change activities with the many users, application teams and downstream consumers of the warehouse and associated business units
  • Managing the change within LBG’s change management policy and the D&ML Platform’s operational guidelines e.g. financial reporting
  • Planning the end state support model and user impacts for each change so that the run element of the delivery is catered for in advance of the major change milestones
  • Identifying the barriers to the programme outcomes and working with the team and broader teams in the Group to solve
  • Build relationships with Chief Data & Analytics Office colleagues to identify, support and drive simplification outcomes and define the associated commercial benefits in line with strategic outcomes


Must Haves:
  • Proven years’ experience of Programme Management.
  • Experience in working with Data.
  • Experience in agile delivery
  • RAID Management
  • Budget Management
