Job description
Core Purpose of the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Regulatory Developments and Quality Assurance team! You’ll ensure the regulatory commitments of the Commercial Bank and Group Corporate Treasury are met across multiple regulations and product sets.
Responsibilities:
- You'll manage a team of Senior Analysts: providing support and leadership to ensure Quality Assurance activity is performed across multiple regulations and business scenarios to identify potential reporting discrepancies.
- You'll handle colleague performance; setting objectives and ensuring regular 1-2-1s take place to assist development and improve potential.
- Provide factual, high quality complex output, advice and mentorship implementing control and tailored to senior partner needs: Either through running a specialist team; And/or operating as a specialist.
- Measure and report MI, Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators.
- Ensure Compliance frameworks are adhered to.
- Act as a central point for queries and observations raised within the team; act in a timely and tenacious manner.
- Work closely with senior management, vendors and risk partners to ensure issues are understood clearly with the accurate level of materiality apportioned.
- Perform oversight over quality assurance test cycles performed and validate root cause analysis.
- Own and maintain working relationship with a third-party vendor as provider of QA services.
Essential Requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of financial markets products and trade flows.
- Excellent knowledge of, at a minimum, MiFID II and/or EMIR regulatory reporting regime - including understanding of reporting requirements and eligibility determinations.
- Identifies shortcomings, suggests, and implements improvements to existing business practices, while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organisation's organisational change programme with mentorship from senior colleagues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working with LBG colleagues and teams as well as external clients showing integrity and a client first demeanour.
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills - both written and verbal.
- Grows own capabilities by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities and develops team capabilities by working within existing development framework; provides specialised training or mentor in area of expertise to others throughout the organisation.
