About Us

T&TMR is a team of specialist market risk managers covering market facing desks across LBCM Trading and Group Corporate Treasury. We provident independent oversight and challenge on front-line business activity including:
  • Understanding daily trading activity and moves in risk positions
  • Reviewing new business proposals and products
  • Building new analytical tools to provide insights into the market risks the business is exposed to
  • Forming effective relationships with our key business partners helping to put risk at the centre of decision making
  • Developing, improving, and reviewing the Group's market risk framework
  • Continuous personal development, building and maintaining a high level of sector and product knowledge as well as developing technical skills


About You

We are looking for someone who has the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges. The perfect candidate enjoys problem solving, using their initiative, and the challenge of a wide variety of work across diverse portfolios, risk types and businesses. Well-developed communication and influencing skills, including an ability to get technical information across succinctly are crucial. As we work in a constantly evolving environment, a curiosity about current affairs both in the UK and globally is essential.

Requirements:
  • Numerical education to degree level (e.g. STEM, Economics)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver at pace in a changing enviroment
  • Desire to develop/learn new technical skills
  • Proactive and willing to challenge when things seem wrong
  • Interested in global markets and current affairs


Experience of, or the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the below would be advantageous but is not essential:
  • Market risk metrics (e.g. VaR, Stress Testing, NII, MV)
  • Derivatives - their uses and pricing (e.g. interest rate swaps, bonds, repos, FX swaps, options)
  • Experience interacting with partners from across a wide range of business areas including Finance, Treasury, Risk, Audit, Retail and the Commercial Bank.
  • Strong Excel skills, foundation level programming knowledge in VBA, Python, or another relevant language.
