Grant and Compliance Manager Non Profit GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 6 month FTC with possible extension Hybrid

A well-known environmentally focused charity is seeking a skilled Grants and Compliance Manager to ensure the accurate and efficient management of funds raised through the full grant life cycle. This role will provide essential grant management support, enabling our front-facing Fundraisers to focus on proactive income generation.

Role Responsibilities

As part of the Grant Management team, the Grants and Compliance Manager will:

• Manage a complex portfolio of high-value grants, including the two largest philanthropic awards.
• Provide integrated support for contract, financial, and compliance matters related to funded contracts and grants.
• Contribute to the implementation and tracking of the Development Funder strategy.
• Coordinate the development of high-quality proposals aligned with strategic objectives.
• Maintain systems, processes, and day-to-day management of the team.
• Support annual processes across the team of income target setting and budgeting.
• Provide guidance on donor rules, compliance, and contractual mechanisms.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth grant management of various awards.

Relevant Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Proficiency in financial and grant management systems.
• Excellent financial management skills, including budget development, reporting, and income tracking.
• Experience working with complex systems and stakeholder relationships.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of the international development or environmental sector (desirable).
• Familiarity with project management approaches and tools.
• Ability to create and implement new systems and processes.
