We have an exciting opportunity within the Manufacturing Business office as part of a newly formed sustainability and new business team for an experienced Engineer to lead our Manufacturing transformation to support delivery against our sustainability targets on our journey towards zero impact operations.

As a Sustainability &New Business Lead Engineer, you'll focus on areas such as management of energy, water and waste as well as workstreams linked to biodiversity and nature positive projects.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Identify and introduce project management systems and workflows that support the efficient running and delivery of the Manufacturing project portfolio.
  • Adopt and embed agile project management methodology and working practices.
  • Coordinate program governance systems and their respective inputs and outputs for Manufacturing - Report on projects progress, risks, outputs, and delivery against KPIs across all management levels
  • Play a vital role as an interface between Industrial Operations and Open Innovation team, identifying opportunities and creating deal flows to support future business challenges.
  • Drive standardised and centralised approach across all manufacturing sites.
  • Support future target setting for energy, water, waste and nature positivity.
  • Drive knowledge sharing in the cross functional sustainability network and key leadership stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Experience of working in a complex organisation in a cross functional, matrix management environment to ensure project and business objectives are achieved.
  • Strong decision-making skills and comfortable promoting your viewpoint to key stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to be able to encourage collaboration between workstreams/ departments to maximize projects value.
  • Demonstrable experience of project management methodology and tools including metric reporting.
