Job description

The Data Analytics & Platform Enablement programme being run out of the Enterprise Data and Machine learning value stream, covers a multi-million £ portfolio and is responsible for the capability to develop reusable data products for insight and analytics, with the goal of federating data ownership and consumption on Google Cloud (GCP) in 2024.

There are two key objectives to the programme;
  • To create the core operational capabilities needed to safely develop and operate reusable data products on GCP across the Group.
  • To provide compliant frameworks for the Group to optimise Metadata and Reference data using approved Data Modelling solutions.


You will also focus initially on managing the scope of the projects and work packages within the Programme, including Financial, Risk, People and Supplier management.

What we want from you.

You'll be a self-motivated and proactive Programme Manager who has an eye on the bigger picture but can also get into the right level of detail to understand to help unblock issues. You're up for the challenge of working on a large, sophisticated programme that will drive significant technology and cultural change across our business. You'll be comfortable to break through silos and barriers to achieve great outcomes. You won’t be bamboozled by technical jargon and be able to drive out clarity from ambiguity with business outcomes in mind.

Additionally you'll have;
  • Ability to communicate openly with confidence by questioning and gaining context to understand clearly what is needed during interactions at all levels of the organisation. The programme has significant technology and executive focus.
  • Relationship building skills to build and harness strong working relationships with key partners and multiple areas of the bank.
  • Ability to influence and inspire others to ensure the team is setup for success.
  • Balance assertiveness with co-operation to enable truly collaborative working partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Get results, maintain laser focus on delivering the key milestones in the plan
  • Passion to lead and deliver


Essential experience in following areas;
  • Experience of complex programme delivery and aligning delivery to meeting programme and LBG requirements.
  • Vendor & Partner management understanding and interaction.
  • Ability to cut through complexity.
  • Project Management skills in FastPath and Agile.
  • Strong understanding of managing costs, plans, risks and opportunities.
  • Successfully Managing a portfolio of multi-million pound, technical IT projects.
  • Experience in Data in the Cloud technology would be ideal as you will be working with and managing engineering teams (both IT architecture and engineering teams).
