About the role 

As a Lead Manager within Balance Sheet Risk & Strategy, focusing on stress testing, you will find yourself in a role where your skills, knowledge and leadership are really valued. You’ll provide effective support and direction to the team and work with the Senior Manager to lead and deliver the team’s plans and strategic priorities.

You will have direct line management responsibility for the analysts and senior analysts within the team and support their personal development.

The team is responsible for the coordination and production of stress testing and analysis. Your analysis is used for capital planning (including ICAAP), financial forecasting, risk management and much more.

The team currently adopt a flexible hybrid working approach of home and office working (Leeds) to be discussed with your manager. However, you may work from the office more often if you like. 

About you 

This a great opportunity for someone looking to make the next step, or just wants a change in role. 

You will have a good understanding of stress testing and/ or forecasting in financial services and an appreciation of prudential concepts with the ability to challenge how they impact the Society. You will have experience in managing multiple projects and managing stakeholder expectations. You will be able to lead, coach and motivate others.

Experience of managing a team would be great, but by no means a prerequisite.

You’ll be collaborative and have experience of engaging and working with other teams to advise, educate and promote your work.
