Audit and Risk Recruitment has partnered with a top 10 accountancy firm and are looking to recruit an individual to join a rapidly expanding Digital team to aid in growing their portfolio of clients.

The team sits right at the heart of the Audit practice. Out client leverages their deep technical expertise to evaluate the risks associated with the use of technology for businesses in a number of sectors - from Consumer Markets, Retail, Technology Media & Telecoms, Natural Resources, Energy & Shipping and Financial Services. They use data analytics procedures to look for trends, anomalies and also understand IT and business processes whilst identifying the risks. It’s exciting and interesting work that can include evaluating risks around emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics Process Automation (RPA) as well as cyber related risks.

You’ll be someone who is comfortable working pro-actively and, managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners. You’ll help deliver accurate and transparent reporting to all relevant stakeholders as you provide long term value.

Responsibilities:

· Assisting in scoping and planning our data-enabled audit approaches to address audit risk in the most effective way

· Guiding the junior members of the team to ensure high quality audit standards are maintained

· Providing insightful reporting to our internal and external stakeholders

· Coordinating and supporting our regional team to support both the current and future pipeline of work. Embedding strong project and financial management across the team is essential.

· Inspirational People Management: Inspiring, mentoring, and developing the team will be essential.

· Brings ideas to enhance our delivery, and can readily escalate relevant matters throughout an engagement with respect to project delivery.

· Identify and raise matters with a Manager/Senior Manager/Director or Partner while exercising judgement within agreed parameters.

· Innovation: Contribute to the development of methodologies and guidance for internal use as well as solutions to improve efficiency.

· Networking and Marketing: Act as an ambassador of the firm, participate in marketing events, keep abreast of the wide range of services the firm offers and suggest innovative products and services. Contribute and shape team meetings and represent the team at office and firm meetings as required.

· Personal Development: Continue to bring the latest Technology insights to the Partner and Director community and share knowledge with the teams.

Technical Skills

· Providing assurance through re-performance using data analytics (SAS, SQL, Python, VBA, R). Any other programming language will be beneficial.

· Experience in IFRS9 Expected Credit Loss model review - code review, assessing key data risks around assumptions, logic, data sources, PDs, EADs, LGDs and ECL for commercial banks/credit provider

· Utilising Power Bi data visualisation to create interactive dashboards for identifying and assessing risks at planning stage of audit

· Knowledge of the Financial Services sector, especially with regards to revenue and dataflow models surrounding: Asset Management, Retail Banking, Capital Markets, Building Societies, E-money Businesses, Fintechs, Debt purchase and payment service providers

· Developing high quality efficient audit strategies that are data focused

· Interpreting the financial audit impact of IT risks and control weaknesses and Integrating Data Analytics testing into an external audit approach

· Supporting a team providing on-the job training while also providing data analytics training team through technical support on SAS/SQL/Python coding or other languages

· You will be the main point of contact for the data analytics engagement in front of external stakeholders, the audit team, and other internal teams

· Providing on-going support and training to junior and newer members of the team, and ensuring that our high quality audit standards are maintained
