Internal Auditor or Senior Internal Auditor - flexible role, can be based anywhere in the UK

Our client, a commercial technology conglomerate is working with us exclusively to recruit a Senior Internal Auditor/Internal Auditor, reporting to the Director of Internal Audit. The HQ is in central London, but the business gives the option of working remotely, anywhere in the UK, if preferred.
  
The aim of the Internal Audit team is to support the business, providing assurance to the Audit Committee and the Group Directors. This role will provide an opportunity to be part of a team of professionals, providing audit and advisory services to the Group companies across their various operations, globally.
  
The IA team has grown significantly since we started working with them and in line with the Group strategy, which is an extremely acquisitive and successful, fast growing and changing business, the team is planning to increase its footprint significantly whilst modernising and streamlining its processes.
  
The Senior Internal Auditor/Internal Auditor will be responsible for delivering the IA plan. This includes financial, operational and some SOX audits as well as a range of advisory services in some cases, which as include anything such as accounting, financial modelling, transactions, data analytics advice too. Travel will be around 25%, all to other places in mainland Europe. 
  
We have some flexibility on background, but it is likely to be a Top 10 / Big 4 trained auditor, likely with a qualification (eg. ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, CIA, CIMA, etc.). This could also extend to someone with experience in either professional services, within industry, or a mix of the two. The most important thing is that the person is a strong character and can display potential as the successful applicant is expected to progress in this role within 2-3 years either in audit or into the business. This role would be ideal for a part-qualified/newly qualified candidate.
