Director of Internal Audit & Risk - British Manufacturer

Audit & Risk Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Director of Internal Audit & Risk to join a unique British Manufacturer that are a global leader in their chosen area. Based in London this role is particularly suitable for an individual who is looking to move to their first number one role and who is excited about the opportunity to take full ownership of an audit and risk function.

As the successful candidate you will be reporting into the CFO with a dotted line to the Audit Chair who will be available to offer advice and challenge where necessary. You will inherit a small, dedicated team and lead the development of the Group’s audit and risk strategy. This is a global organisation but with dedicated centres in London, the North West and Belfast and there will be a small element of travel but with opportunities to go to the US, Singapore and Europe when necessary.

Due to the nature of the business, and the complexity of the role you will also have the opportunity to be part of and have influence over a number of important and exciting projects outside of audit aiding you to shape your career and make a real difference to the organisation.

To be considered you are likely to hold a recognised qualification (ACA/ACCA/IIA) and have demonstrable experience leading a team and reporting to and managing an Audit Committee. You will be comfortable communicating effectively with senior stake holders and have the ability to influence and challenge across all areas of the business.
