JOB TITLE: Pricing Strategy Analytics Manager
SALARY: National: £56,000 - £68,000 plus benefits London: £66,000 - £81,000 plus benefits
LOCATIONS: London, Halifax, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cardiff
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity:
Here in the Homes team we strive to deliver high end data analytics capabilities to support the strategic objectives of the mortgage business. The Mortgages Pricing Transformation team is responsible for the management and pricing of billions of pounds worth of new mortgages each year, including activity on the Halifax, Lloyds, Scottish Widows and Birmingham Midshires brands.
Our team deliver the Mortgages Commercial plan, as well as ensuring we meet our external commitments to support First Time Buyers & improve sustainability as part of our Helping Britain Prosper commitments. We use data to build compelling analysis and insight, develop comprehensive pricing proposals that effectively balance risk and reward & support the delivery of new products, propositions and campaigns to the mortgage market.
We're looking to recruit an experienced pricing analytics manager with a consistent record of delivering data analysis, recommending pricing and commercial actions to support the delivery of the Group's mortgage strategy.
Your role will involve delivering an extensive transformation and is at the heart of LBG’s digitisation and platform strategies which supports a team of pricing managers through the development and maintenance of pricing analytics and forecasting tools as well as operational improvement.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the vision and roadmap for pricing data and business analytics capabilities enabling decisioning making for diverse business and senior collaborators.
- Provide robust analytics and data science solutions that support significant customer experiences, marketing effectivity, strategic concrete insights.
- Find opportunities to optimise new strategies, data migration across platforms and efficiency improvement to deliver enhanced commercial and customer outcomes or mitigate risk.
- Build and maintain appropriate controls and procedures to ensure compliance with group standards and best practices.

What you’ll need:
Essential
- Hold either have a good degree in a numerate subject, or equivalent quantitative experience gained in previous roles
- Expertise in array of data science stream - data management, exploratory analysis, predictive modelling, and diagnostic modelling.
- Experience in end-to-end cycle of analytics product designing and development including efficiency improvement and optimisation.
- Business analytics experience, which includes data wrangling using VBA, SAS, SQL, Python. The ability to deconstruct and document models, processes, and analytics project flows.
- Ability to apply a structured analytical approach to problem solving, effectively prioritising backlogs to deliver value.
- Experienced as a strong and credible communicator with an ability to work across a variety of teams.
And any experience of these would be really useful:
- Experience of working in data science role within Financial Services is desirable
