The Integrated Systems - Governance & Assurance team:
Integrated Systems - Governance & Assurance provide a level of assurance for all Integrated Systems engineering activities in support of the Dreadnought programme, the team ensures that the products being delivered are safe and fit for propose to be deliver into the Dreadnought programme. As a Lead Quality Engineer - Governance & Assurance, you will be responsible for quality assurance activities within the engineering business of integrated systems, on Dreadnought. This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain insight into all areas of the business and submarine systems, providing the opportunity to progress within integrated systems.

What you’ll be doing:
- Working as a full contributory member of the Engineering Assurance Team and support the development of other teams within Integrated Systems
- Undertaking specialist non-routine and or complex Engineering Assurance activities and tasks in their related area
- Being able to access, have clear understanding of and develop the local management system documentation
- Ensuring cross functional processes are deployed and adhered to
- Leading/supporting internal Engineering audits and supplier audits
- Leading the management of non-conformance resolution and corrective actions with key stakeholders and process owners
- Leading support of Engineering Assurance investigations
- Leading affective analysis of data with resulting themes and corrective actions resulting in cross functional continuous improvements
- Leading support and facilitation of working groups ensuring deliverables are achieved and learning from experience (LfE) is captured and applied
- You’ll also have people manager responsibilities in this role
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- HNC/Degree in Engineering subject (or equivalent qualification/experience) held
- Ability to interpret specification, procedures and contract requirements and cascade to others
- Experience of operating within a Governance and Assurance role within an engineering organisation
- Experience carrying out effective action management and verification, in support of audit and assurance activities
Desirable:
- Either hold or willing to work towards chartership
- Experience as a lead facilitator of root cause analysis, methodologies: Fishbone, 5Why, Six Sigma
