The new Building Safety Regulator (BSR) sits within HSE and is responsible for implementing a new regulatory regime and strategy for higher-risk residential buildings in England. The BSR oversees the safety and performance of the wider built environment, driving cultural change and increasing the competence of the building control profession.
We are now looking for an Operational Quality, Risk & Compliance Lead to join the new Building Safety Regulator (BSR) on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role
As the Operational Quality, Risk & Compliance Lead, you will lead a team of Risk, Quality and Compliance Analysts delivering various frameworks to support excellence at the heart of BSR operations.
Specifically, you will lead your team in creating and implementing operational quality management, assurance, governance and risk management frameworks, with particular focus on Risk Management and Quality Management Frameworks.
Alongside our operational leaders, you’ll play an instrumental role in establishing the frameworks, providing tools to enable colleagues to implement, assess, manage and update risk registers.
Additionally, you’ll create and circulate reporting packs for the Risk and Quality Management Frameworks to stakeholders.
About You
To be considered as an Operational Quality, Risk & Compliance Lead, you will need:
- Experience of designing and implementing risk and assurance frameworks in an operational environment
- Experience of leading high performing teams
- Experience of analysing, assessing and reporting on processes and making recommendations based on ongoing continuous improvement
- Experience of designing tools to support operational leads in assessing risk and assurance
- Experience of designing training and sharing knowledge on best practice in risk management and quality assurance in an operational environment
