Your role at BRE
BRE Assessment Services provide external audit support to the BRE Product Groups by working with our clients to provide management system and factory production control audits in support of product certification. We are accredited by UKAS to conduct 9001, 14001 and 45001 audits across the built environment.
As an auditor, you will provide the vital link between Testing and Certification, by providing audit activities for all the Product Certification teams and continued listing on Redbooklive, the LPCB list of Approved Fire & Security Products and Services. Key responsibilities include:
- Booking and carrying out audits of Management System and FPC certification schemes
- Reviewing and understanding scheme documents, and the requirements of the scheme.
- Accurately recording findings during audit visits and submitting reports in line with operational target objectives.
- Reviewing and approving responses to any non-conformances raised during audit visits within agreed timescales.
You will have the opportunity to travel internationally to visit client sites.
Your profile
We are looking for an Engineering or Quality Management background with knowledge of manufacturing covering one or more of the following: electronics, chemicals, polymers, or metalworking. We are also looking for:
- Strong experience of providing knowledge of the specification and installation of a broad range of fire suppression protection systems, security systems, passive fire products, physical security products and cabling systems
- Proven knowledge of ISO audit process, BS EN standards and BRE LPS
- A willingness to undertake training as required to ensure competence in ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 qualifications (if not already held)
- Good IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Excellent time management and planning skills with the ability to work under pressure
- The ability to operate as part of a team or alone.
