Summary: Overture is looking for an ESG Compliance Specialist to join us! Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) compliance refers to a company's adherence to environmental, social, and governance standards and regulations, as well as its efforts to report on and improve its ESG performance. This is a new position at Overture. The ESG Compliance Specialist will ensure Overture is conducting business in full compliance with international and national sustainability laws, regulations, practices, and standards, as well as security and privacy standards. This is a hybrid role, 3 days in the office at our In Waukegan, IL.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and coordinate internal activities related to the Overture’s ESG strategy
  • Project manage getting information and reporting required for EcoVadis and B Corp audits and drive the completion of the audits
  • Assist in the production of relevant sustainability documentation, including disclosure documents and supplier engagement documentation
  • Support communication on key performance indicators for CSR targets and work with teams to strengthen internal program KPIs
  • Conduct outreach to our suppliers for their supply chain audits, sustainability reporting and DPA agreements; create a searchable database of those policies, with summaries
  • Create a process for evaluating and scoring sustainable products
  • Source and vet sustainable pack materials and other DC supplies, make recommendations to Operations management
  • Manage workflow for customer security audits, working with E2 Services for first round answers, then review what’s missing and route to appropriate internal staff
  • Build an easily searchable database of policies relevant to RFPs and Data Privacy/IT audits
  • Set up and manage a contracts database; notify sales when contracts are expiring. Evaluate and recommend contract management software
  • Support creation of our annual CSR report, and communications for internal and external audiences on the CSR program, milestones, and impact
  • Monitor and share best practices on environment, social and governance reporting trends to provide insights and recommendations

Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in ESG practices with a focus on supply chain management and/or social and environmental compliance.
  • Familiarity with auditing frameworks, and ethical sourcing standards (EcoVadis, B Corp, SEDEX)
  • Project management experience
  • Self-starter with strong initiative
  • Analytical, organized and detail-oriented
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate throughout the organization
  • Willing to build knowledge of ESG requirements and trends, and relevant regulations in the US and EU
  • Expertise in Microsoft office (, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to create data visualizations/infographics
