We are seeking a nearly qualified or qualified Actuary to join our Actuarial & Risk practice. This unique opportunity is seeking someone with an established pensions advisory background, ideally with experience advising sponsors of DB pension schemes. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to apply the higher-order skills of a qualified actuary whilst applying their talent for technical problem-solving.

A look into the role

As an Actuarial and Risk Pensions Manager within our Actuarial and Risk team you will:

  • Lead from the front in regards to delivering client work, engaging the Actuarial and Risk team and winder Financial Services Group to ensure correct utilisation on all projects
  • You’ll take responsibility for developing more junior members, understanding their career aspirations and supporting in their delivery.
  • Projects we undertake are:
    • Corporate side DB pension scheme advice
    • Pensions remediation
    • Corporate and pension scheme audit support
    • Valuation of longevity swaps and SPVs

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as an Actuarial and Risk Pensions Manager the minimum criteria you’ll need is experience in a pensions actuarial consulting role. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • Nearly qualified or qualified Actuary or equivalent experience
  • Experience managing internal or external stakeholders and working within set project timeframes
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and exceed client expectations
  • Monitoring junior team members works and coaching/career development
