The Team

The Governance, Risk and Compliance Team (GRC) manage risk and assurance within the IT Services Directorate (ITS). They are responsible for coordinating the management of function-level risk within ITS, and ensuring that the University maintain appropriate standards of Health and Safety, PCI DSS, etc. GRC collaborate with key functions and stakeholders across the University, working to improve the efficiency of security, governance and risk processes.

The Role

As part of the wider GRC Team, the Compliance function is responsible for ensuring compliance processes are effective, providing assurances to respective stakeholders and meeting safety obligations and standards. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the ITS Compliance Analyst will support the compliance and health and safety activities within IT Services and an overall culture of safety excellence.

The ITS Compliance Analyst will support compliance risk management, contributing to the development and review of risk assessments, operating procedures and safe working practices. They will contribute to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance, completion of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, perform gap analysis assessments against industry standards and regulations, and ensure that ITS goals and compliance standards are met. They will also support ongoing reporting of Compliance activities and metrics to senior leaders, and process improvement across all domains in scope.

The Person

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with managing compliance and health and safety assessment activities.
  • Knowledge of performing audits, investigations, or similar activities.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards and practices, including recording and reporting against compliance.
  • A familiarity with PCI DSS certification is desirable.
