** Please note: You must be currently working in Audit as an Assistant Manager or Manager within a top 10 Audit firm to be eligible for this role. **

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced audit assistant manager or 1st year manager to move into a hugely varied audit quality role.

You will be working with the fantastic and highly internationally experienced audit quality director of one of the world’s largest and most successful audit firms.

As such this is an outstanding opportunity to launch your audit quaility career, learning from the best, in a vibrant UAE that is undergoing significant regulatory change.

Role

  • Assist Quality Assurance Director in supporting the firm’s implementation of Quality Standards including requirements of ISQM.
  • Work closely with the Quality Director to evaluate the SoQM against the objectives, policies and Global requirements.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to implement SoQM across all functions within the Firm.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Director in developing and performing the Annual Quality Monitoring.
  • Develop and implement remediation plan and follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Director in supporting quality reviewers when required.
  • Assist the quality reviewers in performing quality reviews and provide practical and technical feedback to the relevant Engagement Partners and engagement teams.
  • Continuously keeping abreast of emerging audit quality findings.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring Audit Quality Indicators (AQIs) for the firm.
  • Assist in the performance of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide meaningful remediation action points for the firm.
  • Perform thematic reviews on topical or difficult audit technical topics.
  • Collate information from all monitoring activities and develop a common themes or trends analysis for feedback to firm. Innovative development and delivery of training
  • Contribute to though leadership regarding Auditing Standards and audit methodology including assisting in responding to relevant consultations.
  • Developing communication which considers the firm’s size and circumstances, to all staff and Partners and findings.
  • Assist Quality Assurance Director in preparing reports to Partnership on a periodic basis.
  • Coordinate with the Firm’s Head of Audit and Assurance, Head of Advisory, COO and service line teams to implement best professional practices to manage Quality.

  • Exhibit excellent understanding and practical experience of the audit regulatory environment and brings high level of audit technical expertise and knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to working within and contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Able to work well under pressure and demonstrate a positive and committed attitude to in dealings with both team members and partners.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Hold a relevant and recognised accountancy qualification and have at least five years’ relevant audit experience at AM or Manager level with a leading firm
  • Have proven skills in auditing and a working knowledge of ISAs.
  • Be a highly skilled, client-focused, communicator who has an exceptional track record of building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and experience of managing multiple projects/tasks.
