Are you a seasoned Head of or Director of Risk and Compliance with years of experience in risk management and compliance? A leading national law firm is looking for a highly motivated and strategic professional to join their team and oversee their regulatory requirements and expanding teams.
Your new role
Role Overview: As the Director of Risk and Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our firm's integrity and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. Your expertise will guide our risk management strategies, allowing us to navigate complex challenges effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Risk Leadership: Lead and manage their considerable risk and compliance team, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Compliance Strategy: Develop and implement risk and compliance strategies aligned with the SRA Regulatory framework
- Collaboration: Work closely with partners, associates, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of risk awareness.
- Best Practices: Drive continuous improvement by identifying best practices and implementing them firm-wide
- Training and Education: Provide training sessions on risk management and compliance matters.
What you'll need to succeed
- At least five years of previous experience working in a risk and compliance role within a law firm
- A robust, meticulous approach to ensuring compliance, combined with a diplomatic, professional and collaborative manner.
- In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
- A flexible approach and confidence in liaising with colleagues across the firm at all levels is essential.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
