We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our team in Financial Modelling. In this role, you’ll build and maintain Asset and Liability Management (ALM) models while providing ongoing support. This is an exciting time to join the team, as the Society uses a new balance sheet software to embed customer behavioural assumptions within the models, allowing us to deepen our understanding of the income, value and inherent risk within the balance sheet. This is a hybrid role; remote working and a small amount of onsite presence in our central Leeds office.

About the Role

As Senior Analyst, you will

  • Design, develop and deliver new models or model redevelopments to support the Society’s ALM team
  • Ensure robust controls and comprehensive documentation exists
  • Work with the ALM team to support appropriate model use and understanding of controls

About You

  • Educated to at least degree level preferably in a STEM subject such as Mathematics / Finance / Physics or relevant analytical experience in current role
  • Knowledge of cash flows, mortgages and the finance processes within a building society or bank and how these can be modelled.
  • Experience of data manipulation using SQL (or equivalent, such as R or Python) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability explain the models and calculations in a clear and concise way alongside building and nurturing relationships with a variety of stakeholders


  • Knowledge of producing regulatory reports such as PRA110.
  • A good understanding of FIS Balance Sheet Manager
