We have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Data Executive in our dynamic Product Management and Marketing Department. Your role will work to enhance the organisation’s decision-making and operational efficiency through the development, management, and analysis of data. The Operational Data Executive will provide strategic insights and operational support across various departments, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a high level of self-motivation, and the capability to work effectively under pressure. Strong SQL knowledge and experience is essential. Commitment to professional development and an ongoing willingness to learn new tools and technologies and AI advances are essential.

Overall Aims

To enhance the organisation’s decision-making and operational efficiency through the development, management, and analysis of data. The Operational Data Executive will provide strategic insights and operational support across various departments, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

Data segmentation and analysis

  • Segment and analyse marketing data from various sources (CRM, website registration and subscriber databases) to identify target audiences.
  • Develop and maintain segmentation models to enhance targeting and personalisation efforts.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across all marketing sources.

Campaign support

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to understand campaign objectives and provide data-driven insights to optimise future marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Assist in the development of audience profiles and personas based on campaign objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness.

Reporting

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key marketing metrics.
  • Present findings and insights to the key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Utilise data visualisation tools to present complex data and in easy and accessible format.

Data management

  • Integrate data from multiple sources to create a unified view of customer and marketing data.
  • Work with IT, Product development and Business Insight teams to ensure seamless data integration and flow.
  • Manage and update marketing databases with necessary information to help improve segmentation and targeting efforts.

Communication

  • Collaborate with key teams, including sales to support business objectives with data insight and analysis.
  • Act as a liaison between marketing and technical teams to ensure data feeds are maintained and managed.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to explain data insights and their implications.

Continuous improvement

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices, including AI developments and trends, in data management and CRM practices.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve data processes and campaign strategies.
  • Attend RCN CRM Rapid Assessment meetings and meet regularly with RCN CRM teams to maintain up-to-date user knowledge of the CRM.
  • Understand GDPR best practice in relation to RCNi processes.

Desired skill set

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and managing multiple stakeholder expectations.
  • Advanced knowledge of data management systems, databases (SQL, MySQL), and data visualisation tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Experience in managing large datasets and conducting complex data analysis to support business operations.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
