Change and Transformation Risk Manager (VP)

We are supporting a global financial services firm operating across energy, commodities, and financial markets. The business provides liquidity, market access, clearing, and execution services to a broad international client base and continues to grow through strategic change and acquisitions.

An opportunity has arisen for a Vice President level Change and Transformation Risk Manager to join a newly established team at the centre of enterprise wide change activity.
The Role

This role provides independent risk oversight across acquisitions, integrations, and material change initiatives, with a strong emphasis on both financial and non financial risk.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Risk oversight of acquisitions, integrations, strategic investments, and divestitures
  • Assessment of non financial and operational risk along with financial risk including market, credit, counterparty, and liquidity risk.
  • Partnering with strategy teams during acquisition due diligence, including review and challenge of valuation assumptions and models
  • Advising on target operating models, scalability, and end to end process design
  • Oversight of risk throughout the change and project lifecycle, including escalation and senior management reporting
  • Production of committee and board level risk materials

The role requires commercial judgement, strong analytical capability, and the ability to influence across change, strategy, and delivery teams.
Candidate Profile

Suitable candidates will have:
  • Experience across enterprise risk, non financial risk, or change related risk within financial services
  • Exposure to M&A, integration, or large scale transformation activity
  • Strong understanding of controls and risk frameworks applied in change environments
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders in fast paced, evolving organisations

CFA or FRM is beneficial, as is a quantitative or maths based academic background. Management consulting or advisory experience is welcomed.
