Job Description

A leading UK accountancy and advisory firm is continuing to expand its Global Mobility offering across the South of England and is seeking an experienced Global Mobility Tax Senior Manager to join its growing team in either Reading or Southampton. This role has been created as part of ongoing investment in mobility and employment tax advisory services, driven by strong demand from multinational and internationally mobile workforces. Ideal for someone looking to step up into a Senior Manager role.

The opportunity

This is a client-facing leadership role within a well-established national mobility practice, advising a broad range of multinational groups, fast-growing international businesses, and senior executives on cross-border mobility and employment tax matters. You will manage a diverse portfolio of clients while working closely with partners and international colleagues to deliver integrated, commercially focused solutions.

The role offers significant flexibility, including highly adaptable working arrangements and the opportunity to shape a working pattern that suits individual circumstances - making it particularly attractive for those seeking something outside traditional working models.

What you'll be doing
  • Managing a portfolio of global mobility clients, delivering both advisory and compliance services
  • Acting as a trusted adviser on cross-border employment tax, mobility structuring, and international assignment matters
  • Leading complex projects involving internationally mobile employees and senior executives
  • Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings
  • Managing engagement economics, including billings, recoverability, and portfolio performance
  • Collaborating with corporate tax, employment tax, and international teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Coaching and developing junior team members while contributing to team growth
What we're looking for
  • ACA / CTA qualified (or equivalent)
  • 8+ years Tax experience gained (at least 2 years experience gained in the UK)
  • Strong experience in Global Mobility / Expatriate Tax within professional services
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge of employment and mobility-related tax issues
  • Proven experience managing client portfolios and leading complex engagements
  • Commercially minded with strong relationship-building skills
  • UK visa transfers welcome
This is an excellent opportunity for a Global Mobility specialist seeking a senior role offering both high-quality client work and genuinely flexible working options.
