We are supporting a respected organisation operating within the motor finance industry to appoint a Regulation & Motor Finance Lead.

This role has been created as part of an expanding policy function and offers a rare opportunity to take ownership of a complex and fast-moving regulatory agenda. You will act as the internal and external lead on motor finance regulation, shaping policy positions, influencing regulators and supporting members through significant change.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading on regulatory and legislative developments affecting motor finance and consumer credit
  • Developing and owning policy positions, consultation responses and guidance
  • Acting as a key point of contact with regulators, government departments and senior stakeholders
  • Translating complex regulation into clear, practical insight for internal and external audiences
  • Working closely with compliance, research and public affairs colleagues to deliver joined-up outcomes
  • Representing the organisation independently at industry forums, working groups and events
About you:
  • Background in public policy, regulation, financial services, motor finance or a related field
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fluid, high-pressure environment
  • Strong written and verbal communicator, able to influence at senior levels
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
  • Curious, proactive and confident navigating ambiguity
What's on offer:
  • Hybrid working with flexibility around location and travel
  • Highly supportive, non-political culture
  • Significant autonomy and scope to shape the role
  • Salary is £60,000-£70,000 plus an 8.5% non-contributory pension, with flexibility to pay more for the right candidate.

This role would suit someone looking to step into a visible, influential position where their work will have real-world impact.
