Job Description

My client, a not-for-profit organisation that helps hundreds of thousands of people every year, is looking for a Senior Risk, Audit and Assurance Specialist to join their team based in c. London (1-2 days per week, hybrid) - there is no other travel associated with this role.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for strengthening governance, risk management, and assurance frameworks across the organisation. This includes identifying and monitoring risks, conducting audits, reviewing processes, and providing actionable insights to help improve how the organisation operates and delivers fair outcomes to consumers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead internal audit and assurance activities across the organisation.
  • Assess operational, financial, and regulatory risks and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain risk registers, control frameworks, and reporting for senior management.
  • Conduct audits, compliance reviews, and process assessments.
  • Collaborate with teams to promote a strong risk culture.
  • Report findings and ensure recommendations are implemented.
About You:
  • Professional qualification in Risk, Audit, Accounting, or related field (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA, IRM, CRMA, etc.), or actively pursuing.
  • Experience in risk management, internal controls, and/or (internal) audit
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
