About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and client-focused Tax Director to play a leadership role and grow our Family Office and Private Client tax practice in Singapore. This is a leadership opportunity within a global Big 4 firm, offering the platform to work with ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), family offices, and private investment entities across Asia and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted tax advisor to family office clients, UHNWIs, and privately held businesses on cross-border and Singapore tax matters.
  • Lead client engagements involving complex wealth structuring, succession planning, asset protection, trust and estate planning, and philanthropic structures.
  • Advise on the establishment and ongoing management of single and multi-family offices, including governance, compliance, and regulatory considerations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, family office advisors, trustees, legal counsel, and other intermediaries.
  • Drive business development and contribute to the strategic growth of the family office tax service line in Southeast Asia.
  • Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance management.
  • Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and developments impacting the family office sector, both in Singapore and globally.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including corporate tax, international tax, legal, and advisory services to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant tax advisory experience, preferably within a Big 4, law firm, or boutique private client practice.
  • Proven track record advising family offices, UHNWIs, and private clients on tax planning and structuring.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Singapore tax regulations and international tax principles relevant to wealth management and succession planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with senior stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience, including managing teams and driving practice development.
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, CTA, JD, LLM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with clients across Asia-Pacific is a plus.
What We Offer
  • The opportunity to work with high-profile family office clients across Asia and globally.
  • A leadership role within a world-class tax practice with access to deep technical expertise and resources.
  • A dynamic and collaborative working environment.
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits, with clear pathways for career progression.
